This is our 14th Annual Unity in the Community 5k/10k/Kids Run! Our race will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Storm Stadium parking lot in Lake Elsinore, California. Our race began in 2002 with just under 200 runners. Last year we hosted almost 800 runners and walkers and we look forward to over 1000 this year! We hope you will join us and be a part of this great community event.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- A fast 5k/10k course starting on dirt and ending in the paved parking lot
- A colorful t-shirt and a goodie bag full of coupons and other surprises
- Great raffle prizes
- Water stations and great after-run treats
- The run-to-read program that will give cash back to the schools in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District with the most student participants
- A $250 prize School Challenge for the school with the most adult participation
- A cash prize to the overall winners of both the 5k and 10k
- Medals for age division winners (1st-3rd)
This year, for the first time ever, we will have “chip” timing for all who want it. This means we will have five wave starts. The first one will be at 7:45 and then each wave after will be about two minutes apart. We will have our speedy rabbits in the first wave, our kids 12 and under in the 4th wave, and walkers in the final wave. If you choose not to be timed, then you just pay and run. We are optimistic that this will be a welcome change.
NLI May 16th, 2015
The NLI has grown from its humble beginning as a small one-off competition, to a 3-event series competition held twice a year, to its new current format of a single day, stand-alone event – The NLI Classic. With broad programming for a variety of athletic skill levels, the NLI Classic, as always, provides athletes with intelligently designed workouts that test them in wide range of physical fitness categories, including cardiovascular endurance, strength, power, gymnastic skills and general physical ability. Most athletes who compete in the NLI come from CrossFit affiliates or gyms that train in a functional fitness style. Expanded divisions are available so athletes young and old, beginner to elite can receive an equally excellent competition experience that challenges them mentally and physically, in a fun and supportive environment.

Melissa’s Ride For Hope! Car Wash Fundraiser hosted by CrossFit Uncensored.
Date: April 25th, Saturday
Location: Lake Elsinore Home Depot or Menifee (To Be Announced)
Time: (still determining)
We are hosting a Car Wash to help raise money for Melissa Martin. She was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in December 2014. She is currently getting aggressive chemo treatments at City of Hope. You may see her husband my (Heather Labeda) Uncle John in the box from time to time. He’s actually a HUGE part of the building and piecing together of CrossFit Uncensored. Besides building alot of equipment we use daily (box’s, jerk boxes, the huge racks with the rings hanging….so much more. He did all the footwork to get us our permits to do business in the City of Lake Elsinore. We are in a place that it’s time to step up and give back to a man that is in need of help to support his wife’s City of Hope treatments.
We will need Volunteers for this Fundraiser. We will be shutting the gym down April 25th, Saturday to spend the time to put heart into helping Melissa. There will be more information on location and time. There will be a sign-up on the Whiteboard to volunteer. We are asking that everyone tries to participate if possible. Once we get graphics created we will start sharing on social media site, please help us spread the word virally. Thank you Everyone! Please keep Melissa in your prayers. #melissasRIDEforHOPE
